anna hearts peter

I was so excited when I discovered that Valentine's Day was on a Saturday this year! What a perfectly romantic day for a wedding. Anna was referred to me by previous clients, Liz and Chris (thanks so much you two- I miss you guys!), and we immediately hit it off! And so the planning began...

Anna and Peter were married at Nativity Lutheran Church in Alexandria and the reception followed at the swanky Hotel Monaco in Old Town. Anna, her mother and I had such a ball bringing the wedding day vision to life! The day was filled with such love and it's completely apparent in the gorgeous photos taken by flutterphoto. The food and cocktails were delish and guests loved the photo booth (the hit of the party). The amazing Kendall made not one, but three (!!!) cakes. Talk. About. Yum. The wedding cake resembled Anna's fabulous gown with rooshing and soft flowers, while the groom's cake was designed around airplanes... Anna and Peter do a ton of flying! The birthday cake for Anna's mother was a fun surprise at the end of the evening. I haven't stopped smiling since starting this post :) Such a wonderful day and I am so grateful to have been a part of it all. Congrats, Anna and Peter!

ps- had to include the photo of Anna's rosette clutch- love it!

Wedding Style

I am over the moon with excitement! Simply Chic has been invited to join the Grace Ormonde Platinum List. It's such an honor to be part of this exclusive list, which is comprised of the best of the best wedding vendors (nationally!). Grace Ormonde Wedding Style is one of my favorite wedding magazines... it's filled with such fabulous inspiration and photos of truly lavish celebrations. Simply Chic will be featured on the Grace Ormonde website within the next few weeks and in print this fall. Yay! Thank you to Grace Ormonde for thinking of Simply Chic... I am so flattered!
