Meredith and Zack were married on the 4th of July and it was such a sweet celebration. The feel for the ceremony and reception was filled with charm and vintage inspiration. The Virginia countryside was the perfect backdrop... very garden chic. Love! I was so excited when I received the photos from Allison Britton (she totally rocked it). These two look like they should be in a magazine! Meredith's gown is one of the most fabulous that I have seen and her shoes... oh, her shoes. Meredith was the perfect bride~ head to toe. Congratulations, Meredith and Zack and thank you for making me a part of such a special day! xo

rustic chic

I feel so lucky to have such amazing clients! Working with and getting to know Olivia was a total joy. She is such a beauty~ inside and out. We instantly connected and became friends and "planning partners." Olivia envisioned a very chic and Parisian inspired party. We used a palette of purple and lavender with touches of soft peach. So lovely. Antique shutters served as seating card holders, a single stem of lavender was tucked in the pocket of each napkin and vines lined the inside of the tent. The most delicious macaroons I have ever tasted (thank you, Lara!) were displayed on vintagey cake plates and we used a chalkboard to replace menu cards. I loved Olivia and Michael's wedding... every last detail. A special thank you to the very talented Heather Z~ the photos are gorgeous.

ps- Olivia and Michael are high school sweethearts. They were married 11 years and 364 days after first meeting. So sweet!

sweet summer inspiration

I am completely obsessed with rosettes so when I came across this lovely inspiration board on the Southern Weddings blog, I just had to share! It's so summery, so cheery, so sweet. I love the colors and the rustic charm. I saw the papaya J. Crew rosette dress a couple of months ago and immediately thought it was fabulous. Oh, how I love summertime!

fun, pink and salsa!

If I had to pick three words to describe Nicole and Scott's wedding day they would be fun (for sure!), pink and salsa! Words can't begin to express how much I adore Nicole. Nicole and Scott live in Miami so our planning was long distance. I met Nicole last summer and we instantly hit it off! We spent a week together visiting venues, meeting with vendors, talking vision and decor and eating ice cream :) I finally met Scott the week of the wedding and immediately loved him! He is the perfect match for Nicole... fun, totally sweet and, of course, handsome!

Nicole and Scott's day was all about family, friends and having a great time. I don't think I have ever seen a dance floor so packed. We're talking salsa! Nicole loves any and all things pink so the motto was "the more pink, the better!" Scott was such a good sport! Jenifer Morris, with Freed Photography, did a wonderful job of capturing just how special the day was. Looking through their photos makes me fall in love with their wedding all over again. Congrats Nic and Scott! xoxo

I came across this lovely inspiration board on The Wedding Chicks and just love the soft, sweet feel. The Jenny Yoo bridesmaid dresses are fabulous and that cake! Oh, that cake! I absolutely adore peonies. They're so lush and romantic. The Louboutins speak for themselves... swoon. Happy weekend!

I really love incorporating feathers into bouquets, centerpieces and even hair pieces. When used in the right way (and in the right amount), feathers provide such a soft and romantic feel. Feathers are the perfect accent for a vintage inspired or winter wonderland wedding. I came across a photo, on the Southern Weddings blog, and really love the subtle touch of the feathers. Very rustic chic!

What girl doesn't love shoes?! Wedding shoes are just as important as the gown (well, almost as important :)). Finding THE shoes can take months (Olivia and Miranda can attest to this!) but it's so worth it once you find that perfect pair! Just like when you find THE dress- you just know. I've seen so many fabulous shoes recently and wanted to share some of the eye candy. Enjoy!
