Vanessa and Zach were married at the super charming Darlington House in Dupont. The intimate ceremony and reception were full of sweet, personal touches. I especially loved the bride's bouquet (one of the most beautiful I have seen!), peony filled milk glass vases and the vintage suitcase, which held cards for the bride and groom. A BIG thank you to Kate Headley for the lovely photos and to Sidra Forman for the gorgeous flowers. You ladies are amazing! Congratulations, V + Z! ~Jessica

rustic chic

I have a new obsession. Creating inspiration boards. I could literally spend the day dreaming up new and different (vintage charm to sleek and modern) weddings. Obsessed! Below is a "rustic chic" board that I created (with the help of my fab-o assistant, Cara) today. We're loving the muted blue/grey palette and the pancake bar. Yep- a pancake bar... with the fixins!

I was so excited to receive the newest issue of Washingtonian Bride & Groom yesterday! This magazine is always loaded with eye candy and fabulous real weddings so I couldn't wait to dig into it. I'm loving the Green Day spread which boasts beautiful inspiration for eco-friendly flowers. The bouquets are ah-mazing! Bride & Groom is a great resource for DC brides (and grooms!) and we couldn't be more flattered to be included in the guide of DC's top wedding vendors. I have the best clients in the world! K + M are two of the sweetest and most fun loving people I've met. Such a complete joy to know them. K + M met in their high school Spanish class. High school sweethearts- I love that. I also love that they still have that giddy "new love" excitement for each other. It just melts my heart! We had the best time planning their wedding and the day couldn't have been more perfect... a total reflection of them as a couple. I can't get enough of Bill + Anne Holland and their always stunningly beautiful photos. They never cease to amaze me! Congrats K + M- I heart you two! xo

i heart peonies (and may!)

I love the month of May for so many reasons. The sunshine, my sweet hubby's birthday, my wedding anniversary (4 years on the 20th!), Mother's Day, farmers markets, sundresses, and peonies. Big, fluffy, beautiful peonies! My most favorite flower. There's something about these lush, delicate, romantic blooms that make me so happy. I can't wait for them to be sitting on my kitchen table... I'm counting the days!

Engaged! at the Four Seasons

The days are flying by and wedding season is upon us! Being a part of Engaged! Magazine's bridal event last month was the perfect way to kick off our season. We were thrilled to be at the Four Seasons with some of the best (we're talking creme de la creme!) wedding professionals in DC. I feel so lucky to work in a city with such ah-mazing talent! Our team showcased a wedding for all four seasons and I think it came together perfectly! I didn't get to visit the other hotels that participated in the event but from the photos it looks like everyone really outdid themselves.
